Jabali Ridge Lodge is enthroned on a rocky hill, also known as "Kopje", above the vast savannah of the Ruaha National Park in the heart of Tanzania. The design of the elegant camp is inspired by the colors and materials of its natural surroundings. Open structures and granite walls ensure that inside and outside merge in this extraordinary camp. The exclusive location in the north of the lesser-known Ruaha National Park also promises a high diversity of flora and fauna with few visitors, so that the animals are not disturbed in their natural behavior and habitat. During the dry season, the nearby Mwagusi River also attracts many wild animals, which find a water source here. The area around Jabali Ridge is known for its large prides of lions, and leopards, elephants, giraffes and buffaloes can also regularly be found in the vicinity of the lodge. Those looking for a romantic yet active safari experience will have an unforgettable stay at the luxurious Jabali Ridge.

Rooms

The eight suites at Jabali Ridge are hidden between the rocks that frame the camp. The accommodation is built in the style of traditional Tanzanian bandas and offers views of the bush and its inhabitants all around. The interiors are exceptionally stylish and elegant in neutral and earthy tones. Natural materials such as wood and stone set the tone and are complemented by a comfortable king-size bed under a romantic mosquito net, designer chairs and comfortable lounge furniture on the private terrace. The en-suite bathrooms offer a WC, a rain shower with hot water and a double washbasin. Complete privacy can be found in Jabali House, which is also particularly suitable for families with its three bedrooms and private plunge pool, without having to forego the amenities of the main camp.

Culinary

The meals at Jabali Ridge are a real temptation for gourmets from all over the world. Every component is freshly prepared by the camp's kitchen team - from home-baked bread and cakes to ice cream. In the morning, guests can choose between a picnic in the bush or a brunch on their return to camp. For lunch, a buffet with light dishes and salads offers a welcome refreshment during the heat of the day. With a unique view over the savannah under the African starry sky, a 3-course gourmet menu inspired by both regional Swahili and international flavors is served in the evening. Room service is available on request, and special dietary requirements can also be catered for.

Activities

The day at Jabali Ridge starts early, when the wild animals are at their most active in the morning freshness. After the first game drive, there is time for a refreshing swim in the infinity pool or a pampering spa treatment at the camp before lunch and a subsequent siesta. Another game drive follows in the late afternoon as the sun slowly sets towards the horizon. In addition to the game drives, the spectacular landscape invites you to take part in other activities such as a guided bush walk, a bird safari or fly-camping directly under the stars in the middle of the bush. A night-time excursion into nature to experience the bush in the dark also promises thrills. No matter which experience you choose - at Jabali Ridge, nothing stands in the way of an authentic safari experience and close encounters with the wilderness.
