Exploring the Makgadikgadi salt pans
After your arrival at the airport in Maun, you will be warmly welcomed and accompanied to the small plane that will fly you to the Makgadikgadi Pan National Park. From above, you can get your first glimpse of Botswana before your guide picks you up at the airstrip and takes you to your accommodation for the next two nights. A luxurious family room with a picturesque view of the Boteti River awaits you at Leroo La Tau. Enjoy daily game drives along the river with your family and experience the wildlife and unique landscape of the Makgadikgadi salt pans. If you are interested in cultural interactions and want to experience the daily life of a Botswana community, you can take a trip to the nearby village of Khumaga.
The rich wildlife of the Moremi Game Reserve
Experience one last morning activity at Leroo La Tau before you are taken back to the airstrip for your onward flight to the Moremi Game Reserve. During the flight, you will get your first glimpse of the vastness of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Okavango Delta. The Moremi Game Reserve is located in the eastern part of the delta, on the south-western border with Chobe National Park and impresses with its diverse vegetation, which attracts a large number of wild animals. Large herds of buffalo, elephant, wildebeest and zebra roam the area in search of food and water. The rare lechwe antelopes live in the papyrus forests, while lions, cheetahs and wild dogs hunt in the open grasslands. The Moremi Game Reserve offers a year-round wildlife paradise with excellent game viewing opportunities. Spend the next two nights at Camp Xakanaxa and enjoy daily game drives and boat safaris.
The wild Okavango Delta
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before flying by small plane into the heart of the Okavango Delta. This unique World Heritage Site is home to a variety of wildlife in a labyrinth of lagoons, lakes and canals. Spend the next few nights at the exclusive Camp Okavango on the remote island of Nxaragha. Explore the delta on mokoro excursions, boat safaris and guided walks. Optional fishing trips can be arranged depending on the season. A helicopter flight also offers a spectacular bird's eye view of the Okavango Delta.
The beauty of Chobe National Park
Today you make your way to the last leg of your unforgettable journey through Botswana, to Chobe National Park in the north of the country. The park is known for its excellent game viewing opportunities all year round, as it is home to one of the largest wildlife populations in Africa. The various habitats in the national park range from flood plains, mopane and acacia woodlands to green grasslands and thickets along the Chobe River. The high concentration of elephants in the park is particularly impressive. Explore the fascinating flora and fauna on daily safari activities such as game drives and river safaris. After your last safari activity in the Okavango Delta, you will be taken back to the airstrip and fly to Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. In addition to the safari experiences, your lodge offers a variety of amenities to provide you with a perfect ending. Relax with a massage, treat yourself to a delicious cocktail and enjoy the picturesque view.
Saying goodbye
Enjoy a last breakfast on the terrace before you have to say goodbye to Botswana. You will fly back to Kasane, from where you can start your return journey home. Alternatively, we recommend spending a few extra days at the nearby Victoria Falls.
